My family and my donkeys are all doing well, thanks for asking!
I am doing great, but my life has completely changed over the past year.
I joined a group practice and tried to get them to use AC, but they had already contracted with NextGen, which I found to be unusable as well as obscenely overpriced. For this and other reasons, I elected not to buy in.
I am working as a hospitalist now, which I would never have considered in the past, but fits much better with my family goals. I don't even use an EMR now -- weird!
The reason I checked in was because I had been fretting over the proposed changes to health care, and I thought I'd look in and see how all my old friends were making out. When I saw you had "stolen" my job, Leslie, I knew I had to drop a line!
I am *totally* kidding around, Leslie! I know you will do a great job as a moderator, and I kind of felt bad that I got the job and then had to drop out.
