The brother mfp that has paperport on it can be bought at staples. I was actually able to get a "refurbished" one.... aka someone didn't like it for 350 dollars. The usual is about 500.
I have version 8660dn. It is networkable... as I have a wireless network in my office. Additionally, it can come with an additional paper drawer for printer if you need to. I had a very limited budget in January when I resurrected my practice.
