Thank you, that was my problem. The backups were gigantic. The scanning was not the problem. I am very relieved that I don't have to buy another server ( that one was bought to use for a "shall remain nameless" big EMR/EPM that I hated). I am dissapointed that the gaurdian angel we were talking to didn't catch on that a 400 gig memory should be more than adequate.
