I did notice that the machines were sometimes running slow, but it did not seem related to AC. When I increased memory to 1G (xp machine) it made all the difference in the world, but I do not think it was related to AC, I had a problem with them going into hibernation.
Specific tasks within AC did not seem to have a problem. I would sometimes have AC, IE and Open Office all open without a problem even before I doubled the memory.
