If I had to pick my top five annoying features or non-features of AC, probably the most annoying would be the overall formatting.

Before I bought AC (which was a great move -- overall still the best little EMR ever), I designed a progress note program using HotDocs. It produced a very nice little note.

I remember when I briefly used Logician Internet which became Medscape Encounter before it crashed taking everyone's data with it. To this day, NO EMR can hold a candle to it's formatted note. To hell with good documentation. There wasn't a lawyer or judge in the land who could see past its beauty. Wait, did I just say "There wasn't a lawyer or judge in the land?" Too bad it isn't, "There ISN'T a lawyer or judge in the land." Wouldn't that be nice.

It's obvious to me that formatting isn't extremely important to Jon. I am not saying I can program anywhere near as well as Jon, actually I can't at all. But, if I did, 50% of my time would go into how the notes and letters looked.

It would be easy to have the letter writer open in Word, and I imagine the note could as well.
