When co-signing my charts my supervising MD is having a screen pop up that says _____ chart is open do you want to close without changes and open_________ chart. This occurs when he has put a check on each chart and is clicking the box to co-sign the charts. Any thoughts?

Does he have to sign all of your charts or just ones you want him to ? If you set up your account to require co-signs it will send all of your charts to him (could be an awful lot) - otherwise you can make it where he doesn't get all your charts if you just forward some to him when you are done and he can co-sign them.

If you don't have to do all - you could just forward a select number and he could add a template that goes in the plan that says "chart reviewed in clinic and discussed, etc. " Otherwise if he just needs to do a few you could have him just pull open charts under his name - review them and sign an addendum which puts whatever verbage he wants.
