We changed printers and gave our new printer (Front)a different name . Removed the old printer (Front 2023) from the system ( windows 11 pro) but AC keeps bringing up the old printer name when I try to print an Rx. The network can't t find the old printer and then AC sends me to generate a file for my prescriptions when I use the default printer . I can work around with choosing preview prescriptions in AC but I shouldn't have to do this extra step. Is there a cache in AC that needs to be cleared so AC doesn't look for the old printer ? TY

presume you deleted the old printer from the server and each workstation and made the new printer the default printer on each workstation?

There may be a reason why AC implemented this feature but it a nuisance. We used to be able to print using PC's default printer. Now, not only we have to set default printer in Windows but also log in to AC Admin account and pick that on each PC that uses Amazingcharts. Even then it works inconsistently. The prescriptions are not documented in the plan and the script is converted in to PDF to be saved and then printed. The PDF has to be later deleted. I may be the only one but DO NOT LIKE IT.
Also, every time a prescription is renewed when a request arrives from a pharmacy, it inserts comments with the prescription (Renewal matched...etc). After a few refill authorizations, the comments get very long and then the medicine cannot be prescribed because the comment thread is "too long". The comments can only be seen on the list of the medicines and not n the script writer. Have to repeatedly clear the comments to prevent future problems. Unnecessary waste of time.
Script writer takes a while to load and to take care of prescriptions especially if the patient is on multiple medications.

Having the same issues, new printer and now AC is messed up with when it decides to print or go to a PDF. I DON"T LIKE IT EITHER. Thought I was the only one.

The prescription issues you mention are known problems. I have complained about them more than once. Supposedly it is fixed with the next version. I haven't had a chance to "upgrade" and see.

DID YOU KNOW THERE IS A NEW VERSION? V12.1

AND for only $135 per month you will be able to use the totally unneeded (my opinion) function of self scheduling and auto import of patient intake forms in version 12.2 but still get to have all of the other problems we have complained about! BUT WAIT there's more, you'll still need the great Updox for the pt portal and other imports.

I'm not Sheldon from Big Bang Theory but there seems to be some sarcasm .

I have not been able to contact AC Support since last week , I can't chat username and PW don't work and have left 3 messages. Very frustrating.

Since the change of the prescribing program things have been going down hill.

I don't like the new way to contact AC support, either. I think you can try the chat box and get someone easier than leaving a message.
