How do you turn off the formulary check and stop the Rx Program from dumping you out of AC

Sometimes it can take over 30 seconds and after writing 200- 200 Rx daily it's a waist of time?

Does this short thread still apply to your version of AC on how to turn off the formulary checks?

"Open the script writer and click on the "Settings" option in the top right. The option to turn on and off formulary is at the bottom of the settings screen."

"Formulary checking takes about 3-4 seconds under normal circumstances so something else is wrong with your system/network."

Hi Dr Paiano,

We moved the prescriptions settings slightly in the newer versions of AC. From the main screen, click "Edit - My Preferences - User Preferences". This will open up a preferences screen. There is a tab for prescriptions on the right. Click on that and the option to turn on and off automatic formulary checking is at the bottom.

One thing to note. Formulary checking is required for the eprescribing measure for both MIPS and MU. If you are participating in either of those programs, then you need to check formulary with every medication that you prescribe.
