It's properly spelled using Hebrew letters. There are multiple alternative English-alphabet spellings, most of which have the first syllable terminating in 'r': ver-, fer-, or far-klempt.

It's traditional use is more like: "choked up with emotion."

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm so verklempt I'm shvitzing all over myself...

Thanks to all who sent their regards! Hubby is home and doing pretty well. Thankfully (I think smile ) his speech is almost back to normal except when he is under duress. But, he also had a cerebellar infarct and so his balance is affected. He thought he was going out and cut hay but I pooh-poohed that as I did not think he was ready (or steady enough) to climb up in his tractor. So, I spent the evenings last week and the holiday finishing up his hay for him and was lucky enough to get it completed and hauled to the barn before the rains came in.

I am blessed to have such great friends on this board and thanks, especially, to those of you who sent me personal emails.

Leslie

Leslie,

That is such good news. We all prayed and prayed. You are right about the board. I apologize for not sending a personal email.

It is great news. I know I put a lot of posts on here, but I can be annoying. You, on the other hand, are truly loved and we miss your posts.

God bless you and your husband, as we ARE always here for you. Only with the AC community can I speak for ALL, because this is a special community, and you are a special person.

Again, if I move to Indiana, you are my doctor. But, I would no show a lot, cancel same day, bitch about everything and sit at home and wait for my dismissal letter. smile

I hope he continues to improve, and please let his doctors make the decisions.

Bert,

If you move to Indiana you must have a corn or soybean fetish!! And, if you show up in my office, I will likely tell my staff to get rid of that sorry jackass! Speaking of Jackasses...does anyone (Brian??) have any tricks for keeping donkeys out of the bird feeder? Damned things are eating me out of house and home.

I believe you move the bird feeders up. Last time I checked, you can't get bird feeders too high for a bird. smile
