Whe I open a Tif/tiff file, I am always aked do I want to open or save.
AC has told us that they don't support Tif/Tiff.
I can't stand all the key strokes to open and close tif/tiff.
What is the workaround?

Have all tiff files automatically converted to pdf
I have used omniformat, also needs pdf995 (free) for many years and this automatically converts tiff into format.

Where are you tif files coming from? In my office, we use a multifuction machine that receives our faxes in tif. We batch convert them to PDF in PaperPort before filing them in AC imported items.

Yes, as Sunil says, conversion of fax (tiff) files is one of the things that the paid version of Updox does for you automatically.

Hi Dr. Paiano, it should be noted that Amazing Charts uses Internet Explorer to view most things in the imported items. If Internet Explorer doesn't know what to do with the file then you get that prompt to open / save instead of seeing it in the preview panel on the right. So for example PDFs work because Adobe Reader also includes a plugin to allow IE to view PDFs. I've had success viewing .TIFF files within Amazing Charts after installing an Internet Explorer plugin that allows IE to view TIFFs. One plugin that seems to work great for me is Alternatiff. You can download it for free here: http://www.alternatiff.com/. It's simply a plugin that allows Internet Explorer to view TIFFs, once this is working in IE your Amazing Charts should be able to view .TIFFs without opening it in a separate application.

Windows 10 uses the new "Edge" as it's default browser, but it still comes stock with Internet Explorer. They never actually removed IE, if you search in your applications in Windows 10 you'll find IE.
