Is anyone doing a PCMH and has AC worked well with the process??

We are looking at beginning the process.

Hi Frank,

We did PCMH and got Level 2. Amazing Charts worked for most of the measures we had to complete.

In return for PCMH, we got headaches and more stress. My understanding is for commercial insurance the reimbursement is higher. We are mainly a medicaid office so don't think we'll be seeing much.

My office manager did most of the work, I helped with the queries.

Highly recommended is to do the math in terms of costs vs. benefits. For some it just doesn't make sense. Also depends on how long term your participation under the current payment system (Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial Insurance) might be.

I have a colleague who recently was certified and reimbursement was anywhere from $3-$5 per patient per visit for medicaid. For private , there has not been consistent reimbursement .... So, I am skipping it. She spent 4-6 months after hours getting certified.

She complained about how much of it does not make sense for her small single doc practice;

Unless its mandatory, I am not going to do it. Minimal financial return ....

There was a lot of work involved. I'm with Kurt, cost vs benefits is a must before deciding to do it.
