One of my new year's resolutions was not to be a complainer, and I did get past the middle of January.
To me, this is a quintessential AC problem. AC was developed for a peer to peer network for JBS et al, and has not been developed for a server. Not when you have to remove 16 GB of backups from a constipated C drive to keep all programs on the network from slowing to a crawl.
Desktops: big C, tiny D drive for recovery image Server: little C for Windows and programs, big D and other drives for data, and whole different array for backups
I didn't realize that my IT guy was manually going in and deleting old backups to keep the C drive from filling up, until he's on vacation.
Please fix this AC

You can choose the folder when you install AC. I typically put AC on a separate partition/drive. In my installing SBS series, I also show how to put AC on a separate drive/partition

Broke my resolution and embarrassed myself on the same day.
Thanks Sandeep!

We can just pretend it didn't happen lol. But yea, it's in there to change the drive. Just have to be careful when you keep pressing next. http://youtu.be/eUeE7aCHjNA?t=3m11s

Sure, the thread where P2P and I finally get a "shout-out", and you want to pretend it never happened.

Thanks for the link, Sandeep, as I was going everywhere on your website and blog looking for that.
Just to be bold, can you think of any danger in uninstalling AC on server and following your video? Any particular files that should be backed up besides the data enc files? Haven't watched the video completely if you cover it in there.

It often leads to complications when trying to move the program to another drive. Also make sure you have a solid backup (WITH Imports included) before attempting to do anything. I would use Revo Uninstaller (free edition) to completely remove AC. It will clear the programs folder and remove any residual registry entries. Then proceed to reinstall AC on the new drive, enter dummy info, and then run the backup/up restore utility.

Thanks Sandeep!
I'll work on my courage and tell my wife we need to watch your videos tonight instead of Meryl Streep in August: Osage County

1. I have never had to enter dummy info to reinstall.
While the location of the backup folder just to make sure everyone gets a backup is rather shortsighted. Very silly to put it there. But, I have never understood why users (as John recommended) don't use a 3rd party program such as the free Auto-Delete to delete the .enc files automatically.
