I think to clarify my perspective, I would appreciate it Bert if you would not mind putting back the original post of mine that I initially deleted after reading Wendell's post last evening, then inserting the post that I responded to finding out that you added this post that I thought was deleted.

From here on out, I will make every effort not to delete a post or change it once it is out on the forum.

jimmie's posts after seeing his deleted post.

I had no idea the administrator (Bert) could do this.

I sent this last night after reading Wendell's post, intending it to be funny, but thought after several minutes it may be misinterpreted as not funny, so deleted the post.

My wrongdoing, as I see it, in this whole process is not private messaging Bert when I got my nose out of joint on the DDos thread, and then going public with my frustration.

I have learned through this, I will either call or PM Bert if this comes up again
in the future.

I have deleted several posts, in the past, not to be vindictive, but after some thought, that it would be best not to leave the post.

I also try not to change my words after being posted but have on occasion done so. I think especially if someone comments on a post, to then change, the posts following can make the ensuing thought un-understandable.

So Bert, as I indicated on the PM I sent you, I am sorry for the way in which I handled the situation on the previous DDos. I prefer to remain as contributor, and not a Moderator or Administrator, because there is a certain amount of policing required, and quite frankly, I am not good at that sort of thing.

So I hope you find the above post for the manner in which it was intended and not unintended.

So, I respond back thinking jimmie is upset that all his posts could be read whether they are deleted or not. Sorry, I don't want to chase that one down.

My explanation was that once you his submit, your post goes out in an email to every user who has auto-notification on. So that would mean hundreds have this original email.

Bert,

Thanks for re-posting this

I suppose we have beat this thread literally to death.

I was quite surprised to find the "Blame Bert" post deleted over 12 hours earlier, show up, and then how these type of blind threads can be dangerous, sorry, just cannot remember your terminology, but do not find this post in the above ones.

So when I found my explanation deleted as well, I deferred to your judgement, thinking you as the administrator must know best and have your reasons.

However, after further thought, to better clarify the event, I thought it best to post my explanation as you did, so to diminish as much confusion regarding this issue.

I suppose when you pull the trigger you cannot take the shot back, however, it was never my intention, when deleting or changing a post to cause harm or confusion, but rather the opposite was intended.

I am not upset about the posts being read that I thought were deleted, but I am glad to know about it so not to do this in the future, and hopefully those posts changed or deleted, if read, did not cause any undue harm or consternation.

Time to open presents and drink some mulled wine.

Once again, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family and the ACUB family.

John,

If you google Davidson's Mulling Spices, you can order on line.
It contains organic cinnamon, orange peel, cloves, allspice, and natural flavors.

Add 1/3 cup spices to 1/2 gallon sweet wine, allow to simmer for at least 5 minutes. Strain spices and serve in my wife's beautifully crafted ceramic mugs!!

Garnish with a cinnamon stick or orange slice for a special touch.

I got a 1.5 liter of Liberty Creek sweet red wine at CVS for $6.99, which worked quite well.

I can even make this stuff, so it has to be easy!!!!

Jim,

Philosopher, Physician - now you're going to take on Emeril?

BTW - can we get a display/loaner set of mugs from Lisa to use in the hospitality suite in San Diego? They will be a hit around the gas fire-pit.

Indy,

Move over Emeril!!!!

Now I would like to do a lateral hijack if there is such a thing and propose, that next year Frank send his friend up to Montana, and I will personally cook up some rocky mountain oysters served with Hutterite wine, and he will be in no condition to even distinguish between a NP or doc or PA after I get done with him.

If I can get my two little minions supervised, just maybe, I can bring some shards of pottery if the airline allows such a thing, and if I remember, bring Lisa along too, to San Diego.
