99195 is for therapeutic blood letting
36415 is for blood draw for laboratory testing
Generally it's not wise to charge for taking blood for other reasons.

Not much more on ICD-9, but when ICD-10 comes:

S2140 ? cord blood harvesting for transplantation, allogeneic
S11.95X, open bite of unspecified part of the neck, initial encounter
W55.81XA, bitten by other mammals, initial encounter

Ketan,

Sorry if I pulled your leg too hard. Your phrase (not therapeutic) made my sick mind think of "recreational" blood drawing, vampires, etc..

John, got it right with S11.95X and W55.81XA being useful for recreational blood drawing in the future.

I sure hope AC has a really good index for this ICD-10 business. It looks to be a potential nightmare.

Are you using ICD-10 already? You were quick with codes.
