Don't know if we've had a wish list lately, so I thought I would start one. For Christmas Santa, please give me:
1. An option to save both local pharmacy and retail pharmacy for prescriptions. If Allscripts can do it, AC can do it.
2. More Updox integration!!! In particular, a print to Updox button in AC. This is such a huge malpractice issue for our office, since currenlty we have to re-associate the patient before sending out their summary or lab results. It should be easier to do.
3. A broadcast message in Updox to send out notices to all patients with a portal account of, for example, when the flu shot arrives or new office policies.
4. World peace and the president of my choice...
Any more thoughts???

Just noticed there is a "Wish List" forum, but will leave here, since this appears to be a more popular forum.

I tend to not do wishes anymore as they rarely make it into AC. As a group voted on 81 wishes. In fairness, supposedly after v7 and another thing, those will be looked at.

Dr. Lee,
#3 on your wish list is already here. Go to PORTAL then choose SEND PATIENT BROADCAST and it will send a message to all of your patients with a portal account.

LOVED #2 on your wish list! I completely agree more UPDOX integration would decrease malpractice risk. We send every appointment summary with a CCD to the Updox portal. The risk of sending this info to the wrong patient is real. I am delighted with the BROADCAST and with the integrated scheduling. Keep it coming!

My understanding is the "broadcast" feature in Updox just sends a message to users in the office, not to patients.

No, David..you can broadcast to all of your patients. Here is David Grauman's post about using it successfully.

For a long time I felt much the same way. I am still not certain that the "wish list" forum here is a source of significant change in AC. On the other hand, change may finally be coming. It does appear that the new version will include a substantial upgrade to the letter writer, which represents one of the most long-standing and universally requested changes. Following the release of version 7, hopefully more attention will turn towards correcting long-standing problems and limitations of the program.
Given that this may eventually take place, this forum may help the company to prioritize changes. It may be helpful to see if the group here rallies around particular suggestions.

I would like to propose one change that I have not seen mentioned here. It is frequently mentioned by my partner and makes a lot of sense to me. The suggestion is that we be able to drag names into the name box at the top of the patient list on the main page of Amazing Charts. You can currently drag a name from the list to a message or from the list to the schedule, but you cannot do the reverse. Depending on your workflow this may or may not be important to you. We find that we very commonly need to type a name into the patient list to select it when we are already working with that patient in the scheduler or in a message. To be able to "drag it the other way" would be a seemingly simple change that would be helpful.

Dear Jon,

I just read your suggestion and have a question? How do you see the ablity to drag a patient name to the patient list working? If you can describe the workflow you envision I will add it to the enhancement request list internally.

Thanks,

Claire

I don't know if the wish list is the best way to get AC's attention for suggested enhancements, but it does allow users to become aware that others want the same enhancement they do. If you feel strongly about the enhancement, then sending in a Recommended Imporvement from the Help menu in AC is probably the way to go. If enough people request the same thing, it probably only then gets into the "future enhancement queue."

For Updox, you can do the same thing from within Updox by selecting "Contact Us" I believe.
