Is it worth bringing your IT support guy to the AC conference? airline ticket- 500$ conference 375$ room 158$ per night meals ? Depends. My guess is that you will get better results if you drag him along to our next get-together next summer in the West [We have been looking around Casper or Jackson], and bring him to that. As a *very seasoned* Doc said to me, by next spring/summer there will be a lot more new information about v7,etc. Know that we said we would do it this Fall, but that was before Cancer popped up in Lori's Mom. Very short explanation for why I have been dark for a few months. IF you have a more pressing need, we could always take you up on your offer and make a house call.

Indy, Thanks for the insight, and I may have to VW him down to Casper or Jackson next summer. No pressing need currently, just toying with the idea of X-linking lytec 11 and AC to streamline the billing at some point. Hang in there, family takes precedence. You and Lori are always welcome for a house call.

Is it worth bringing your IT support guy to the AC conference? airline ticket- 500$ conference 375$ room 158$ per night meals ? Jimmie, your post today (about a form your wife created) reminded me to respond to this: An alternative is to bring your spouse. Airline ticket, yes, but conference and room go to $0. And you have more fun. Of course, if your spouse is your IT person, then the decision is easy.

Of course that could be to also have a luggage serpa and USNA docent.

Jon and Indy,
If I can finagle a Montana au pair (grandma and grandpa) to absorb the charm of the kids for several days, maybe I can bring the better half.

Is it worth bringing your IT support guy to the AC conference? airline ticket- 500$ conference 375$ room 158$ per night meals ? Depends on: A) His (you did say guy) knowledge of AC, B) Your problems with AC, C) Your overall budget The conference will be broken down for beginners, average and advanced. AC 7 will undoubtedly be significantly discussed. The focus is more on users than on IT support. I'm sure he could gain insight into how AC connects, which holes need to be in the firewall and such, but I would work with AC help to directly answer the questions. I would be more inclined to bring a staff member, but then again, I rarely need to use my IT backup person.

Wendell,
I am still learning terminology so selfishly wanted an "interpreter" along to break things down for me, and bring him into the milieu to envision changes to help improve efficiency in the office. But like Indy says, I think a regional meeting might work out better for this. But thank you for your insight, it is much appreciated.
