Actually, if you create an encounter and do the printout it still counts for your MU results...then add an addendum saying pt wasn't seen that day. We do something similar for hospital visits, create and encounter with templates stating pt was in the hospital on certain dates and was seen by Dr. there. Then the print out and use that as scrap paper. Not 100% efficient but works for our purposes. I'm the one who does it under Dr.'s name and then it's there under PMH for their next visit.
