double click the medication box in current note, you can remove and add meds from there. You can also inactivate meds through the Prescription writer and from the chart summary tab.

I doubt that the support staff does not want to help. They probably didn't understand your question.

I am not sure your question is clear to me. Are you trying to add or remove a medicine in a current encounter or, say, one you have changed outside of an encounter? If it is outside of an encounter, highlight the patient's name, right click and scroll to "medications and eprescribing". You can add a medicine there or you can inactivate one there. If you want to add it but not actually refill it at that time, go through the screens until it says "transmit", "print" or close. close the screen and the medication will not be sent anywhere but will show up in their list. If you want to remove a medication, highlight it in their list, click the "inactivate" tab below the list of meds and then complete the info as to why it is being inactivated. It should now be removed from the list. The next time you open a chart to start an encounter the added or removed meds should be evident.

Atlast!!!!

I did get support staff, who did sign out particular patient, and repaired database.

But still that particular encounter has permanent error, I have to add addundum to clarify error in medication list.

I hope this problem do not keep recurring as I have done this few times in past.

practice,

First, it would be helpful if you put your first name in a signature line you can make in your profile. Just better than talking to "practice."

Not sure what you are doing, but anything you do in the Current Medication List by clicking in the left lower window, will change whatever meds are there. If you add a med, it will show up. If you click on "No longer taking this medication," It will be deleted.

If you use the script writer on the right, and inactivate or remove a medication, close the chart, then reopen, you will notice the change.

If, however, you are doing a note and inactivate or remove the med (removing will not show up in the plan), then if you sign and print that note the two meds will show up in the note, because they were on it when they came in. After that, when you reopen the chart, it will be gone.

Actually, Bert, removing (inactivating) the med does show up in the note as "Discontinue such and such"

Inactivating does.

Removing doesn't.

Wow, I never even knew you could remove without inactivating! Now I see that if you right click on the med it gives you the option...learn something every day.
