My office is in transition. I will be using an office temporarily in another clinic. I need to be able to document my visits and print scripts. There is a printer in each room, so that is not the problem. I am however, wondering how to handle AC.

I originally thought I would synch...but the more I read about it, the more I realize this is not a good option. I can, as someone suggested, take notes and chart later, but that does not address the scripts (some are CS and must be printed).

I can move the whole system to my laptop for now and thus avoid synch. I do use log me in, but again, I need to print at the office I will be seeing patients.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Barbara

Your best option without thinking much would be to move AC to your laptop and, hopefully, you can print through Bluetooth. We print scheduled scripts because it is convenient, but do you not have a tamper-proof pad you can write all scripts on?

If I am not mistaken, one of the paid versions of logmein allows the option of printing to a local printer. This might be the best of both worlds.

If you have an MFC (so your printer can receive faxes) you could use Logmein and "print" to the fax machine.

I guess I am confused on the setup.

I was thinking Barbara wouldn't have access to her office, and she would have to print to the printers in the temp office.

I can put everything on my laptop for now. I'm a bit nervous about that...laptops can/do disappear (though so do desktops).

Just looked at LMI again...it might work, though it's been less than ideal in the past.

Bert...ALL our printed scripts (CS or not) have to be on tamper proof paper and we are highly discouraged to hand print scripts.

Thank you all!

I knew that's why I did my underegrad at PLU, then left where I didn't have to print scripts. smile

I would work off a laptop and print locally. Easiest solution in my humble opinion
