For those using v6.09, have any of you had problems with the eRx portion or the Rx writing causing crashes. If so, please let me know. Also, if you don't know of crashes you can always check your event viewer. Right mouse-click My computer to Manage and then click on System tools and Event Viewer and APPLICATION.

On mine I get crystal reports error for Amazing charts:
The description for Event ID ( 4353 ) in Source ( Crystal Reports ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS?

We have a client that has been seeing that error in version 5.1.5 - it has to do with the registry entries that document the path.

AC spent a few hours with me changing the path back, but invoking the eRX printing within AC somehow over-wrote the path. We never found a solution, and we have been waiting for version 6. May be they are still waiting until this gets resolved. They have stopped using those machines for printed prescriptions.

In that case it is on two Vista Business machines.

I have actually seen this same error message when it comes to printing a script. The eRx works fine on the computer but when you go to print a script and view a preview, then actually click the print button on the toolbar of Crystal Reports (last button to the right) it gives you this error.

I have tried uninstalling the client and re-installing it but is still not working. I figured this would get fixed in the next version. Wonder if I uninstall the client, delete all registry entries, delete the install dir and the install dir for crystal reports if it would fix it.

Perhaps I'll try this tonight.

According to the exception handler you included in your above message. ?System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.? That?s throwing the error message. The problems reside in AmazingCharts.InteropFormLibrary.frmMeds.ProcedureA(String) and AmazingCharts.InteropFormLibrary.frmMeds.ProcedureB(Object, DataGridViewCellFormattingEventArgs) procedure calls. These are functions or methods within a class library (Assembly or DLL). I will not get too geeky, too much, here.

Something (the code) in those procedures is not being called correctly when it?s goes to print preview, or print in Crystal Reports. This should help point AC developers to your problem, and others.

Thanks for at least looking into it. It happens now on all my machines which I use eRx now. It's very annoying. It happens with refills, etc. I'm having Craig, a tier-2 technical guy look at it tomorrow morning.

But is there anyway to fix this? I'm glad to know it's not an isolated problem with my system.

You're welcome. I understand it's frustrating. I believe the AC team are working diligently on getting this matter taking care of. So, yes, it is fixable. It's just going to take a little more patience, until they can get it figured out.

This is not just a your system issue, we are seeing the same thing in our practice, only with doing physical prescriptions not eRX. Print Preview throws the same error.

Have there been any solutions out there for this problem? Installed V6.0.9 two nights ago and everything went well until full use today in clinic today. I am getting the "unhandled exception" error when clicking into the allergy box, medications box, or when clicking into the prescribing box on about half of our computers...but then not getting the error at all on others. The error has occured in some other odd places on the demographics page but the show stopper is the program basically freezing up with this error when trying to prescribe in the room.

Awaiting AC support email back as live chat was full today.

Also, does anybody know where the growth chart buttons went on the new version...did a well child today on a two year old and couldn't find anywhere to plot out the growth charts.

Using V6.09 since first week of july....have not experienced this problem with eprescribing. Grow charts pop up in the upper left corner...at least that is where I found them recently. They popped up while I was entering vs.

The growth charts...I went back and tried other children's charts at about the same age and the growth chart button is there. Went back to the above mentioned chart and it is just not there. Weird.

Perhaps you are tabing past the last box and hit enter which may trigger the growth chart button. That used to happen to me a while ago, but not recently.

My issue with growth charts is HC being in inches when our confused medical system puts pounds inches and HC in CM.
They are aware of this but have not fixed it.

Dean, that is weird. I have seen weird things will many computer programs, so I don't doubt there is no button on one patient. Is it on one computer or all?

Another issue I have found is that BMI is not instantly calculated in the range of 2-3 years or so.

Same pt, different computer...start a new note and they still don't show up. Show's up on everybody else! I can live with that... I can't live with the program crashing on half of the computers when I go to prescribe with the "Unhandled Exception" error. Hoping to get a call and fix today...

Crashes almost every day. Gobs of "critical issue" reports going to AC. Have no idea why this (a very important part of the chart, and something that had better not screw up) has not been dealt with on a high priority basis, with an update posted just to fix this.

FIXED!!!!!

The fix to (ours at least) "Unhandled Exception" error that was freezing up multiple boxes in AC was simple (after it made it to level two support, thanks Craig!).

The problem is the hardware acceleration and the fix is to SLOW down the acceleration:

Right click on an open area of the desktop (not on AC), select:
--Properties
--Settings
--Advanced
--Troubleshoot
--Slide the bar back from "Full" to about half acceleration
--Apply and then OK.

No more problems!!!

Glad this worked for you. Hardware acceleration in this instance is related directly to your graphics card, which, of course, affects many parts of your computer experience.

What OS are you using. How old?

What makes no sense is if Craig knows how to fix it, then why does AC not know how?

Why is everyone copying and pasting error messages on the board? Nothing against the user, but I think those error messages mean only something to AC.

Using XP on Dell Desktop computers that were bought new for AC installation in 2/10. No problems on the Dell laptops bought around that time.

Right now V6.0.9 is working great except for some minor printing issues w/ crystal reports (can't select the tray on the laser printer w/ the security paper vs regular paper) but Tech Support said that is to be fixed in next upgrade.

Just now starting to match up the meaningful use functions w/ CMS wish list...err, attestation list.

And may I add the iPhone AC on-call app is GREAT! Was able to input some phone messages over the weekend, look up a patient's med list and review last clinic note.

I think that this is the best feature of V6.0.9!
