I use Medisoft for scheduling/pt registration, and import pts through X-Link; how do I utilize the direct import function via HL7 as an alternative; need to know if I will have to continue to rely on X-Link with updated versions of AC

yep; then nothing happens; import through X-link is perfect; I was wondering if I need to create an export file off Medisoft so that the HL7 function can import it

I too have been trying to interface Medisoft/AC. I bought the $500 interface from AC, but have discovered (finally after much emailing and phone calling) that the interface won't work without additional expense. As Paul at AC tech support (the interface expert) wrote me: "The bottom line is you need either X-link [$2000], Communications Manager [$1395] from Medisoft, or some other product to make Medisoft and Amazing Charts communicate to each other. X-link will do it all after purchasing their product. Medisoft?s communications manager is probably the same price and I don?t know anyone who has been able to get an answer from them on how to make that work."

I have given up on the interface idea and hope AC's PM software comes out soon and works well.

I'm with you; so far I intend to rely on Medisoft for PM/billing - too much invested in it in terms of training/staff orientation; guess I will keep my X-Link interface active;

so, I will need to check if MS V17 is written for HL7 integration; until then I will rely on X-Link; thanks

Does this mean that AC and MS V17 will not integrate with the $500 X-Link but it will with the more expensive X-Link?
Is anyone having a problem getting support from their MS PM Vendor to get the HL7 files to integrate with MS? Thanks!
