We are now entering EOB data directly into AC and would like to generate invoices for patients to bill for copays and deductibles. Anyone know how we can generate an invoice that identifies the patient but goes to the responsible party (parent) ? Has anyone found a good program for generating monthly statements that might interface with AC?
Thanks,

Lois

Hi Lois,
I just tried the 30day free trial of EZclaim, billing software that can trade data with AC, and It does print patient statements. It seemed to deliver what was promised. Also- They have an add on called EZ-Link that will patch AC, EZCLAIM and QUICKBOOKS together. So if you’re doing your accounting with Q.B. you’d be fully self contained and never have to double enter patient demographics again. Sounds great! Who knows, maybe it’s the Grail or perhaps... a one way ticket to the Twilight Zone.
I have become very cynical.

Thanks, we have been looking at EZCLAIM and were about to try it out.

One problem we have when we print an invoice from an encounter. The multiples do not print i.e. when I give I gm Rocephin and have to bill it per 250 mg I put in J0696 four times but the multiplier 4 does not appear on the invoice. Also, although J0696 states Rocephin 250 mg it's description prints as something else.

arrrrgh....

BUT, we have fired suredata and our revenue stream is coming back with in house billing. HOORAY!
