Are any of you using the Demographics Bridge? We are just starting out and would like to export demographics from AC into our PM software without having to purchase an interface (though may be interested in that once we see that AC works sufficiently well). I cannot find any documentation on the Demographics Bridge, which I am told allows us to export added/changed demographic info for a specified date range.

Thank you,

You can export them from the administrative section. You will need to use odbc to put them into a form that will be usable by your pm system.

Dr Roberts,

Thank you for your reply. The export in the administrative section works well for an export of all patients. It seems, though, that it does not give the option to export only the newly added / changed demographics.

By selecting Shift + Control + F11 (or File, Import/Export, Practice Management (direct to PM program), Export Patients (HL7), there is an option to select patients added/changed within a date range. I did this but cannot locate an exported file within the \Program Files\Amazing Charts folders (other than some .MDF / .LDF which appear to be SQL files not easily accessible) that contains the exported data.

Best,

David

Actually I received an email response from Claire Rich at Amazing Charts. She pointed out that this can be activated in the Admin Options by selecting Interfaces. "Amazing Charts Demographics" is down near the bottom under the MISCELLANEOUS heading. By double-clicking "Try It" you get a free 31 day trial. Then it is a mere $1 for purchase. It will be a good entry toward eventual full interfacing.

Thank you, Claire
