Wondering how folks are doing with importation of data.
1) Are current import options adequate?
2) How will the default import tree look like?
3) Are there standards for EMR on categories of import?
4) Will there be (or are there)methods of customizing imporation categories practice wide?

Here's a quick tree that I would like for my practice unless there is compelling reasons to use other categories.

I have one primary complaint about the Imported Data options. We primarily scan items into the chart. We dont attach files very often. The Non-Medical Item folder only appears as an option when you attach a file, not when you scan. I would really like to see this folder appear as an option to place the scanned item during the scanning process when it asks to attach to chart.

Currently, if we haven't attached a file to the chart, we cant even "drag & drop" a scanned item to the non-medical folder. This causes useless sign-offs to be sent to the doctor, while the staff has to remember to execute extra mouse-clicks.
