A new patient bought his old CT/MRI/u-s pictures on a CD.
It is taking up about 269 MB of space. Opening the folders: It has DICOM folder/e-film lite 3.0 foler/Autorun/DicomDir File.
I would like to keep those in his chart rather than elsewhere, as it is all centralized and somebody does not need to remember to look it up elsewhere if we have to relase the records.
How do you import those pictures to his chart?

What format are they in? You can try just importing the file as you would normally (from the imported items tab--select Import File. But if it is a specail format, you'll need the software to read it. But regular stuff (jpeg, png, pdf, etc) should work just fine.

Generally you only need a few images from the CD, these should be saved and the CD can be stored.
I found you could export the pictures from a CD CT and they were small images. Then import them into AC the usual way, or print to PDF and save them that way and import

The patient's expectation is that you have all the answers, sometimes they just don't like the answer you have for them

It may be best to save the files to a folder on your desktop first. Then you can simply browse from the patients imported items tab to the item to import and pull it into the chart. Since the disk you have the files on seems to have its own program to view the files you may need to use that program to open the files. Then you may try to resave them in a format your computer can read.
