If I understand correctly: we have P2P, (as Al says if one server goes down, just move the files and point the others to some other workstation with all the moved files), cat 6 cables, we have unmanaged switch, battery backups for the switch and key workstations. Cable internet.
We do use VNC a lot as it cuts down the time to log in.
