I think I may have given you wrong information. First, you do not have a choice on changing. You will have to change from Verizon to Exostar at the end of February. It will be about double the cost of Verizon.
This is a difficult one. Exostar will be prorated, but you may get the Verizon price until then. AC is correct in that if you don't pay it, you will not be able to EPCS. Note that EPCS is different than ePrescribe as it allows you to send controlled substances electronically.
If you are not sure if you are using EPCS, then you probably never paid for it. It would seem weird though if you were receiving an annual bill. If you are using Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances, then you paid for it.
As to ePrescribe, you won't get billed separately, but you have to have support to use it.
