I have read more in-depth articles on this doctor, and they tend to portray her as a victim of an uncaring and unreasonable state medical board. Believe me I think state medical boards can be pretty bad, but in this case a doctor who apparently treats a fair amount of chronic pain doesn't have the ability to check the PMP on her patients. She is not doing herself or her patients any favors. If you're going to treat chronic pain, especially in today's opioid-obsessed environment, you have to be able to check the PMP.
