I use v9.2, and it is very stable. I would look at the release notes to see if there are things in 9.3 that are worth happening. My experience has always been that the earlier version is most stable. The other possibility is to as mark@ac. You can find a post from him under "inactivating patients" (link below) on the Most Recent Posts. If you click on his name and choose profile, his email is there. I guess it wouldn't be there if he did want emails. There are a few members of AC support who help like Nick on here. I find that Mark does more than others. He may be able to lead you in the right direction for the most stable version.

The release notes are helpful. If the newest version is for features, it is more likely to be unstable. If it is for many bug fixes, then it may be best.

As for the crashes, I would contact technicalsupport@newcrop.com. They may tell you to contact AC, but at least you will know the thing to do. I have found NC to be very helpful with these things. I am not sure what transient NewCrop is, but they may not be aware of it or they may be very aware and can fix it.
