I agree with Randy.
Also, it also sounds like you have a good, redundant back-up system. Why not set your auto-delete program to delete all of the "in place" back-ups (rather than saving the last 10).
I don't think there is any way to stop them from being created in the first place (though I think I heard that AC is going to get rid of the "mandatory" back up).
