I am toying with the subject of integrating tele-medicine into one's practice for the next blab. I would like to transition into offering tele-med consults to existing patients in my practice soon. I envision tele-med visits as an extension of the portal, such as taking care of a patient with bronchits symptoms 70 miles away during a blizzard. Or electronic "house calls" for complex elderly unable to make it to office easily or hospital f/u to review d/c meds&summary recommendations.
For those that have taken the leap into tele-med would be great to hear your thoughts on this subject in a blab or on this thread (hijacking encouraged). Thank you in advance for your comments.
