Came to work Monday after the long holiday weekend to find AC crashed, HD full and 23,843 "backup failed" messages in my inbox. Suspect a power surge, or ghosts, over the weekend as the culprit. Attempt at G.A. live chat resulted in a "sorry, but our tech support center is currently in the middle of a power outage". Spent an hour staring at my unresponsive computer and the growing line of patients out the front door. Strongly considered alternative career options; forest ranger, lighthouse custodian, shaman... Got a call back from Mark Vincelette who performed a digital exorcism and quickly got me back on the hamster wheel. Thanks, Mark, Mike, and all the others at G.A. who have pulled my backside out of the fire in the past year. May your new year be filled with simple reboots and happy, grumpy doctors.
