Hi Fircha,
You or your staff will have to attach the patient to the message first. It will then remain attached when forwarding and refilling the prescription. You should then be able to add notes and save the the patients chart.

You can no longer attach patients to an existing message. This allowed the possibility of attaching a different patient to the message. When saved to the wrong chart it became a HIPAA and patient health issue. The change above was implemented to prohibited this from happening.
