Does anyone know if free patient portal allows the user to important messages sent from patients to their respective charts in AC?

I have just started receiving patient messages to the portal but it does not allow me to import them to AC although I can view them simply by clicking on the "secure tab" which links to the portal (didn't think this was a premium (paid) feature of updox).

I just finished talking with technical support and they were stumped. The send button simply was not highlighted. After further review with product support, the tech told me that this must be a paid feature. So the patient secure messaging essentially is useless if you have to print the message, scan it and then import it to AC. Is anyone using the secure message through the free AC/updox portal?
