Since AC won't scale to work in a 500 bed hospital
, we (I am CMIO) are looking at Cerner Powerchart and Epic (will have to move off Seimens Soarian as they were purchased by Cerner).
I am looking to my colleagues who truly know a physician friendly EMR to get opinions about those two suspects.
We have a few new medical staff members or locums hospitalists who for the most part "like" Epic better, without being able to quantify why.
If you have used either (or, especially both) in the inpatient setting, please fire away.
