I will check with Updox on the reasoning behind the Credit Card. From my understanding it is an easy way to validate who you are, which is the reasoning behind the Direct Trust activation. I would sometimes have to do these when I worked in retail. Back then it was to make sure the information was valid that they were who they claimed for renting equipment.
