Two issues: We use old Xerox Documate 152 scanners. They are fast (20ppm), color, B&W, grayscale, full duplex (double-sided scanning)and come bundled with Paperport which is excellent. We get them from Ebay and Adorama.Today there's a used one on Ebay for $69.99 and that can range up to $250. They come with both TWAIN and WIA drivers and can scan directly into AC and have a very small footprint.
The other issue is that I have an older HP all-in-one laser printer/fax/copier/scanner which is good at everything but scanning. Anyone using a multifunction laser printer/scanner that has decent speeds?
