I am also in NYS and will need to prescribe narcotics electronically by March 27, 2015. I have started to discuss this with patients so that they can make other arrangements if necessary. Weird that this is mandatory rigid requirement as I understand it. Hope the hospital emergency rooms are ready. Anyone have news on this? I have heard that it will be very cumbersome process.
