Funny, I had a patient with almost the exact same story today. Except it wasn't in remote Alaska, it was in downtown Baltimore. And it wasn't an Eskimo, it was a native Baltimoron. And the stab wound didn't come from dressing a moose, it was from a "misunderstanding". And she couldn't get into the office because she was afraid the cops would arrest her. Otherwise, the stories were identical.
By the way, what is it like being the only doc in Alaska, now that Dave Grauman is gone?
