My NP just asked me a question I could not answer.
We have patients that are G6PD deficiency. Should it be put as an allergy?
My response was to list Septra and free text G6PD, but after that 2 things happened.
1) The listing for No Known Drug Allergies did NOT disappear
2)free text for G6PD did not appear in the allergy line.
Tried searching allergies for G6PD but to no avail.
Recommendations?????
