Our exported claims have only needed our CLIA number added and the diagnosis pointers adjusted on claims with -25 modifiers. After the first claim for a patient, everything demographic and billing is saved on the patient in EZClaim so eventually the only thing needed will be adjusting the 2-3 claims per day that have modifiers requiring different diagnosis pointers.
We exported, proofread, and submitted 3 weeks of claims in one morning last Friday and only 3 failed (2 for the same patient, both for secondary insurance mistakes that need to be updated).
On average it will take 15 minutes by my receptionist each day to proofread the claims from the previous day that I exported the previous night before submitting them to the clearinghouse. The autoposting of ERAs should cut our back-end billing time in half as well.
