The best way you can have check boxes in templates is to use another program and then cut and paste the text you generate.
I doubt Amazing Charts is going to start using them, even though providers who use them love the speed that they can click thru a lot of present and absent symptoms and signs.
I am not aware of a program that will do this easily, but a database program will do it. I use Microsoft Access 2007, but any database programmer could do it for you. A programmer for Microsoft Excel and maybe Word could do it as well.
The way I've done it is with a form that has a list box(which I prefer to check boxes) that contains your symptoms such that you can pick multiple items, a command button with some lengthy code that happens when you click the button, and a text box to hold your text sentence masterpiece.
I can post the code for you if you want it. A programmer can translate it into another program code language if desired. It's not my code, large chunks were given to me when I needed advice to get it working on the utteraccess.com forum.
So my reply is you can have "check boxes", and the question is, Do you really want to cut and paste text to get your "check boxes"?
Providers use all kinds of ways of generating text, why not use a program?
