I have had a custom build of AC running under Codeweaver's Crossover product. The installer doesn't run so it has to be build and installed manually. If you're interested I can put something together for you to play with.
I currently run Amazing Charts with my personal patch set from June of 2007. I'm going to be working on bringing my patches to the main Amazing Charts source tree (discussed some of these with Jon last week). The way I have the project set up is the same source code tree compiles for Linux under Crossover and for Windows, so both of my in-house versions are in sync.
It doesn't take a whole lot to install. You should know the basics, like how to download and install something, for example. Crossover is available as an "rpm" file for Red Hat, Mandriva, and some other flavors of linux that use the Redhat Package Manager system. Once Crossover is installed, you just unpack the Amazing Charts package (which I'll put together for you) and off you go.
There are a few limitations - one being that since Linux won't talk to the idiotic security dongle the EKG machine software doesn't work. No great loss, quite honestly. There are a few icons that don't quite render properly, but that's cosmetic. It interoperates well with our windows boxes.
There are screenshots available. Go to:
http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=1455The linux version isn't an official Amazing Charts release, although Jon is away and has been supportive of the effort. If there is interest, he's open to making an official Linux release available, which I'll build and maintain for them. In the mean time, though, Jon seems to be OK with me sharing the linux version if it's in sync with the generally released version, and if there's interest I'll put that together.
Regards,
V.
