The PCMH and the ACO shift the insurance risk of taking care of a patient from the insurance company to YOU! Worse, there actually is no risk because it seems you are practically guarenteed to lose.
Even better, Alice was at a presentation by someone from the AMA or something. They tried to make it sound positive. But what he litterally said was "They have actuaries and statisticians that have figured out how much it cost to take care of a patient <with illnesses>. They will pay you an annual amount equal to around 80% of that amount. If you can take care of the patient or less, you get to keep the difference." LOL
Really, this is what they are trying to get doctors to do.
