First, don't get too caught up with your processor, etc. From what some have said Hardware Acceleration can help a lot by being turned off, although it does serve a purpose. Just from being stubborn, one shouldn't have to upgrade their hardware to upgrade to a new version.

Two biggest problems with v6. The prescription writer can be rather slow. It has been my experience that I have only a 3 to 10 second delay and mostly more toward the 3. I have also found the wait to be rather consistent.

The other is the TSP800. Pathetic. But, if you don't use that printer, then it won't affect you.

As far as advantages, there is, of course, MU. Your refills come directly to the program rather than SureScripts. You have better feedback about where your scripts went and if they were successful. There is a whole list on AC's website. That is all I can think of.

I know that "sandbox" is a relatively new term and it has become part of the lexicon on the board. I have used Virtual Machines and sandboxes for years. But, with AC my use of them has increased exponentially. I really think it would be good for anyone considering v6 to have a computer that is similar to your other computers off the network. You can even take a computer off the network and install v6 on it over the weekend as a "main computer." If you import your data, you will be able to prescribe. Try it out. Then you will know for sure.
