The Lab interface is uni-directional..AC will not send lab orders to Labcorp (or Quest or anyone else). It will receive the lab results electronically. Once or twice a day, you (or your designee) should go to File->Import/Export->Lab results and it will import the labs.
The demographic bridge is so that on the Labcorp system, you can input the PID (chart number in AC) and the system will take the patients demographics directly from AC instead of someone typing them in. Saves some input time, and prevents alot of errors.
