Ok so major update!
During this whole time I've had Norton Antivirus as well as Windows firewall running. Despite these barriers my Windows XP computer which would go to standby every night NEVER lost the database. Meanwhile my 2 Windows 7 computers, which remained on ALL the time including the wireless card which never went to sleep, would lose the connection any time the computer was restarted.
So, I went to Windows firewall and "Allowed a program through Firwewall" and enabled AC for this. This however still did not fix my problem. Then I completely disabled the Windows firewall, and for the past two days, I've had no issues! I honestly can not tell if Norton is running a firewall in the background, however.
So my question now is, assuming I have no firewall protection, is my computer/data being compromised?
