I'm sorry for not being 100% clear. The main office has cable internet, 22mbit downstream, 5 mbit upstream
The branch offices have DSL, and are anywhere from 700kbit to 1.5mbit downstream, and 300kbit upstream.

Yes, I have a terminal server, and do plan to use it. My concern is that my internet connection's pipe isn't going to be big enough to handle eight users accessing remotely. (two users each at two branch offices, and up to four more at a third)
We have multiple doctors in our practice, and some that travel between the different offices.
That is why I was thinking of the sync idea; the branch offices don't need "live" access to the database per se, but we would need to be able to have access at some point.
