I have used wireless tablets (Toshiba and HP) in my pediatric practice. I type some, and use the pen to bring in templates. More than half of notes are all templated, most of the rest are largely templated. Most notes are done and scripts and superbills printed before I leave the exam room.
I tried handwriting recognition briefly, but it was a miserable failure as even my nurse can usu. not read my writing.
