It's been a while since I checked in here and have been a member for a long time and hope I am still welcome. I just did a post over at the Medical Quack about the new Ipad/Iphone version of AC and thought I would add a note here to that affect.
http://ducknetweb.blogspot.com/2011/01/amazing-charts-ehr-now-has-ipadiphone.htmlFor some of the old timers you may remember me from EMR Update as the lazy moderator who hardly ever did did any and my own blog grew from there. I don't write any more but way back I took a stab at EMRs and wrote one back in the early days, so there's a little bit of tech in what I say at times:)
On Office Ally, they are a sponsor of my blog and I have worked a bit with some of their system so sometimes I can answer some simple questions and like everyone else they are adding new stuff all the time. They are also on Twitter, Facebook and have a blog too for added information.
The one thing I did see is that they have 24/7 customer support and say you get a real person and that's hard to come by today too. I do a little billing for a couple very part time MDs and use Practice Mate so I keep my finger in the pot if you will as far as some basic use to and in the past was a bit more active in helping MDs with their clearinghouse services. Here's the link to their blog and I see now where they have a billing service and offer a free patient PHR.
http://officeally.wordpress.com/I just saw questions on the forum here and thought I would pass along the added links if that helps out. Every time I do come over here and chat a bit everyone is so nice and cordial too and AC has been around for years and was one of the original software program when EMRs got started. Boy has everything moved a long way up since those early days for sure.
Anyway too I finally got around to adding a signature here, about time since I've only been visiting here occasionally for a number of years, to the Medical Quack where I'm a Heinz 57 blog of healthcare information, Health IT Info, FDA approvals, health insurance (I dig deep here) and even some humor and whatever crosses my mind. Occasionally I do a few interviews too, last week one from UCLA with their pulmonary care department director, so again a mixed bag and hopefully not boring.
I'm always open for suggestions and try to keep a summary of current news flowing as best I can too. I have search boxes to make it easy to look up information since I'm 3 years into this initial accidental project that has just about taken over my life:) Hope the information added here was ok to list and will have to remember to come over and say hello a bit more often!
